Abia State Prepares to Welcome PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar
Abia State capital, Umuahia, is gearing for a shake up as the great people of Abia and members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from all parts of the state descend upon the city on Saturday, February 2, 2019.
The 2019 presidential aspirant and PDP flag-bearer, former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar arrives in Umuahia as he takes the final laps if his presidential campaign to the Southeastern region.
“The public is welcome to this mega rally taking place at the Umuahia Township Stadium beginning at 10:00am today,” PDP Diaspora Initiative Founder and National Chair Honourable Victoria Pamugo said.
“This visit is a great opportunity for His Excellency to talk to Abians directly so that they can see how this well experienced and highly qualified stake holder will redeem Nigeria and restore hope to our people who are being impoverished by President Buhari’s absolute lack of sympathy and concern for the Nigerian people,” she said.
“The great people of Abia, Abia State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party and supporters are excited and ready to welcome our party’s presidential candidate and his entourage,” Hon. Pamugo said.
Accompanying Mr. Atiku to this Abia visit includes the former Governor of Anambra State and current PDP Vice Presidential Candidate Dr. Peter Obi, PDP National Chair Prince Uche Secondus, Senate President and DG Presidential Campaign Organization Dr. Bukola Saraki, as well as party stalwarts and bigwigs.
In addition to the planned epoch-making rally and campaign event, Mr. Atiku will also be holding official business meetings with political figures, governors, local and state party officials, members of the campaign organization, as well as other stakeholders and great people of Abia State.
